WeGO (World Smart Sustainable Cities Organization) is an international consultative body established in 2010 under the leadership of Seoul to promote sustainable development through smart city cooperation and exchanges between cities and companies around the world.

  • Seoul Metropolitan Government (SMG) spearheaded e-government exchanges among cities to facilitate sustainable development
  • The SMG acknowledged the imperative of assuming an international leadership role as a global e-government leader
  • Seoul ranked first in the "E-Government Evaluation of the World's 100 Cities" for seven consecutive times ('03~'16)
