What is the Seoul Smart City Council?
The Seoul Smart City Council is a panel of experts established in accordance with Articles 7 to 9 of the ‘Seoul Smart City and Informatization Ordinance’. Its main purpose is to deliberate, coordinate, and provide advice on important matters related to Seoul’s smart city and informatization.

Functions of the Smart City Council
The Smart City Council performs the following functions.
- Formulation, Deliberation and coordination of basic plans for smart city and informatization
- Performance Evaluation of Major Policies Related to Smart City and Informatization

Functions of the Smart City Council
- Composition: A total of 22 people (as of April 2024, 5 ex-officio members, and 17 commissioned members)
- Term of office: 2 years (eligible for reappointment once)
- Deliberation and advisory meetings: regular meetings (at least once a year), extraordinary meetings (frequently)
